Tesla app could launch for Apple Watch nods CEO
Tesla could launch its official app for Apple Watch devices suggest the response from CEO Elon Musk to a concerned Tesla owner.
X user @dani_elle831 shared a recent scenario on social media site X, previously known as Twitter, that her phone ran out of power and her Tesla was locked. However, her husband later unlocked the car via his phone.
There are two ways to unlock a Tesla model including a phone key and a key card. You can set up your phone as a “Phone Key” and use it to lock/unlock the car.
Tesla on the other hand provides two key cards that communicate with the associated model through RFID signals and allows users to authenticate the user.
The user raised a question about whether the car can be unlocked via Apple Watch or other smartwatches. The CEO replied in brief “Sure” in the comment section which indicates that the EV company may release an app for Apple Watch but it’s not certain.
Similarly, there’s no launch date available if the development may take place after this short statement.
Tesla apple for mobile devices comes with a variety of options to manage the vehicle settings. You can also host widgets on the home screen to show certain statics and quick controls such as lock/unlocking, climate control, charge level, and front trunk opening/closing.
These features on a wearable would make it car more accessible but the company would take some time to bring such an app for users.
