Tesla Cybertruck to showcase in South Korea
Tesla is likely to showcase its electric pickup Cybertruck in South Korea as early as next week to increase reports The Korean Economic Daily.
Following this official showcase, Cybertruck is also scheduled to appear in a Tesla light show arranged by Tesla owners in April in South Korea. The event called the K-Light Show will house around 900 Teslas at the Suwon World Cup stadium’s parking lot.
This stadium expands to about 40 kilometers (25 miles) south of Seoul, the country’s capital and a global economic hub.
The light show is a feature that allows Tesla cars to light up based on the rhythm of the music and even open trunk and windows. Tesla owners across the globe are pretty much into this feature and usually gather together to light their Teslas in a group.
Four years after the initial unveiling, Tesla finally delivered the first set of Cybertrucks in December last year in the U.S. Since then, the company has kept on sending pre-ordered Cybertrucks to buyers.
Tesla in January announced the Cybertruck tour for China, its first overseas appearance for customers. The company showcased this electric vehicle in major Chinese cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and more.
Similarly, the U.S. EV maker promised Cybertruck appearance in Japan and the company has already loaded its prototype units.
These are all pre-launch promotions but the company needs to pass country-specific safety regulations and authority approval to launch the Cybertruck. Therefore, the company has not announced a launch date for this product in any of the touring countries.
