Porsche launches electric Macan with 470kW powertrains, 614 km range, 270 kW charging and more

Porsche today unveiled an all-electric Macan with 470 kW for improved electric vehicle performance with high performance. It also offers a long range of up to 613 km, and 270 kW changing.

The new electric Porsche Macan has permanently-excited PSM electric motors on the front and rear axles to achieve efficiency and optimum reproducibility of the power output.

The models – Macan 4 produces 300kW of power and Macan Turbo has up to 470 kW. The maximum torque is 650 and 1,130Nm, respectively. The Macan 4 can speed 0-100 km/h in 5.2 seconds, while Turbo will take 3.3 seconds to perform this acceleration.

These Macan models will come with top speeds of 220 and 260 km/h respectively.

It packs a 100kWh battery with a new 800-volt architecture and DC charging output of up to 270kW to charge from 10-80% in around 21 minutes.

The new Macan has up to 240 kW of energy that can be recuperated via the electric motors while driving. The Macan 4 has a 613 km WLTP range and 591 km in Macan Turbo.

In terms of outlook, this Macan carries the Porsche Design aesthetics. The vehicle is 4,784mm long, 1,938 mm wide, and 1,622mm high. It has 22-inch wheels with staggered tire fitment and the wheelbase is offset by short overhangs at the front and rear.

The headlights have two parts including a flat upper light unit with four-point daytime running lights in the wings which emphasize the width of the car.

The main headlight module with optional matrix LED technology at slightly lower in the front end. The capacity behind the rear seat bench is 540 liters. There’s a second luggage compartment under the bonnet with 84-litre capacity.

The 2024 Macan EV comes with three screens, the first is a free-standing 12.5-inch curve design instrument cluster, and a 10.9-inch central display. The third display is installed in the back for the passengers.

The Porsche Macan 4 will start at $78,800 + $1,650 delivery fee, which makes a total of $80,450. The Macan Turbo starts at $106,950 including the delivery charge.

Both of these models are available for pre-order starting today in the U.S. and deliveries will begin in the second half of the year.
