Tesla Model Y Juniper allegedly leaked in Red color
Tesla Model Y is preparing a refresh codenamed Juniper and one of its test versions has now leaked in a live video revealing the Ultra Red color.
In early 2024, Tesla released a upgraded Model 3 with new design changes including a sleeker front and slim headlights. The front has optimized height, maximizing aerodynamics.
The rear side is also refreshed with new taillights that are no longer split between the back and the tailgate. Furthermore, changes are made to the performance that is distinct from the base Model 3 and long-range variants.
Since this upgrade, the car community has been waiting for a similar treatment for the Model Y but Tesla remained mum on a newer version of the family EV.
However, visuals of this Model Y have started to arrive from the testing phase, hinting at new upgrades. Adding to this, a new Model Y Juniper prototype has appeared and was caught by a Tesla owner @yannmasoch.
The video shows a camouflaged front and rear and a covered wheel design. Still, we can make some observations of what’s certain in this few-second video clip.
The user uploading this video confirmed that the model has the same width, height, and ground clearance as his Model Y. It has no major changes on these parameters except for the ultra red color and redesigned side mirrors.
The wheels are covered but the Nova trims can be seen peeking from the middle. The front has new optimizations in the bumper area, which appears to have a sports finish.
Rear side camouflage suggests that the model might be a performance variant. However, it cannot be confirmed as the car has not revealed its design to the public.
It’s expected that the Model Y Refresh could launch in the first quarter of 2025. Check the Tesla Model Y Juniper Red leaked video linked below.
Here is another video of the Model Y (Juniper) Performance I saw today.
I think it is the Performance version because:
– the rims look the same 20″ rims we saw on the model 3 performance before
– there is a vent on the side of the front bumper
– my car is also a Y performance… pic.twitter.com/BZv24ogjs9— Yann Masoch (@yannmasoch) January 8, 2025
