Blue Origin could launch first New Glenn flight in a few days
Blue Origin is ready to launch its New Glenn heavy rocket and this exciting event could happen within a few days as suggested by FAA records.
FAA’s operational website shows that Blue Origin’s NG 1 Blue Ring Pathfinder mission is targeting January 8, 2025. On the other hand, it has a backup launch opportunity for January 10. The mission has a three-hour hour launch window, which will open at midnight.
However, a new navigational warning in Florida shows schedules for a rocket launch on January 10 to 16. The Blue Origin will liftoff the New Glenn rocket from Cape Canaveral, and it’s the only flight that could take off from that place at that time.
A new navigational warning shows that Blue Origin is now targeting NET January 10th for New Glenn’s first launch.

Recently, the FAA announced certification for this New Glenn mission, and soon after, the company conducted the final integrated burn test. This successful test has allowed the rocket maker to decide on a liftoff date but not announce it to the public.
During the launch, the rocket will carry the Blue Ring pathfinder payload. It will test the system’s core flight, ground systems, and operational capacity.
This flight will also be crucial for New Glenn to get National Security Space Launch certification. Read more about the payload and the mission here.
