Apple manufacture early iPhone 17 in India
Apple has started working on manufacturing processes for next year’s iPhone 17 lineup and it’s reported, the company will opt for India for early production.
Last month Apple revealed the iPhone 16 series and actively producing this lineup to meet market demand. The series comprises four models – iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and Pro Max. All of these have different screen sizes and hardware specifications.
It’s expected that the iPhone 17 series will be a new milestone in Apple’s device lineup strategy bringing a new slim variant. This model could replace the current “Plus” variant but previous report suggests this iPhone could surpass Pro Max in terms of pricing.
This year, the company has started diversifying its manufacturing capacity from China to India for the iPhone 16 series.
Now a report from TheInformation reveals that an Indian factory will conduct manufacturing work for the base iPhone 17. This production preparation will help the company figure out how to produce the model in the country.
The report also mentions that this move reflects only the base model, while the rest of the three variants will be processed in China.
