Tesla launches Model Y Long Range RWD and quicksilver color in UK
Tesla has introduced a new Model Y Long Range Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) in the UK alongside a new Quicksilver color variant for customers.
The company revealed this new model in the UK by removing the rear wheel drive (RWD) model. Tesla recently made this change for Model 3 in the US by removing the base variant.
This new model has more range than the base RWD and has a subsidy-friendly battery. The Long Range RWD Model Y brings 373 miles of WLTP range with 135 top speed and 0-60 mph acceleration in 5.7 seconds.
There are three Model Ys listed on the official website including Long Range All Wheel Drive and Performance. Meanwhile, the new Long Range RWD is priced at 46,990 GBP.
In addition to the new release, Tesla has also introduced Quicksilver color in the UK, which costs 2,500 GBP. The default model has a black interior but you can also select a white interior for 1,100 GBP.
Furthermore, the FSD package with this car comes at 6,800 GBP, which can be added with the configurator. The introduction of a new model makes sense as it offers more range and efficiency compared to the entry-level Model Y.
