Hyundai sold more than 20,000 EVs in August 2024

Hyundai reported its August 2024 sales results and announced selling more than 20,000 electric vehicles (EVs) last month.

The carmaker announced a 5.3 percent decline in its global sales compared to last year and shipped a total of 332,963 cars in August 2024.

Among these, the company sold 274,876 cars in overseas markets with a 7.2 decline compared to August 2023. Hyundai recorded 58,087 sales in Korea, an increase of 4.6 percent compared to August last year.

Meanwhile, its EV business has accounted for 20,000 unit sales, which shows growth in the market.

Hyundai also has plans to improve its profitability by selling hybrid and EV lineups with broad diversification including the INSTER compact and IONIQ EV models.
