Watch SpaceX SES ASTRA 1P mission’s Liftoff and Landing
On Thursday, June 20 at 5:35 p.m. ET, SpaceX launched the new SES ASTRA 1P satellite mission into orbit. The satellite is a broadcasting satellite based on an electric Spacebus NEO satellite bus. This mission was initially decided to liftoff on June 18 but was scrubbed due to unfavorable weather in Florida. However, today’s launch window provided clean weather.

The satellite has 80 Physical Ku-band transponders with bandwidth filters to broadcast up to 500 HDTV channels. The latest launch occurred from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

This mission counts as the nine-flight for the first stage booster, which previously launched Ax-2, Euclid, Ax-3, CRS-30, and four Starlink missions. SpaceX confirmed the ASTRA 1P mission after deployment.
