Kia has recently unveiled its new EV3 compact electric car with a webOS-based Automotive Content Platform (ACP) from LG. LG’s ACP made a debut in Hyundai’s Genesis GV80 and GV80 coupe but it’s the first time when the technology is featured in an electric vehicle (EV).

LG says this solution is part of its LG AlphaWare, a suite of applications for software-defined vehicles (SDVs). It provides content services including in-car entertainment while charging or chasing navigation.

This LG system is optimized for Kia to support all of its apps and is ready to be used by the customer. The pre-installed apps include:

  1. Netflix
  2. YouTube
  3. Baby Shark World for Kids
  4. Stingray Karaoke
  5. Play Works
  6. LG Channels

With these, users can stream the content directly on Kia’s infotainment touch display. The Korean consumer device maker confirmed that this webOS-based entertainment system will be updated continuously.
