Volkswagen ID.7 launch delayed in US and Canada

Volkswagen has delayed the launch of its new ID.7 electric sedan in the US and Canada. This model has been available for sale in Europe since last year. However, its introduction in North America remains unknown due to production reasons.

The ID.7 was announced in April last year offering an estimated potential range of up to 435 miles (700 km). It supports DC fast charging up to 200 kW range. This sedan equips a drivetrain capable of 282 horsepower (210 kW). It uses using independent battery size and APP550 power unit developed by Volkswagen.

ID.7 is 195.3 inches long and oriented for maximum aerodynamic principles. The car has a 15-inch infotainment system screen, an augmented head-up display, and an air conditioning operating concept integrated into the infotainment system.

The ID.7 brings new massage seats and an electro-chromic dimming panoramic sunroof. It could be switched between opaque and transparent settings by touch control.

This EV has new front seats and adaptive Climatroic cooling or heating with a drying feature. Inside the car, you will experience a maximum 700-watt sound system from Harman Kardon including 14 high-end loudspeakers.

Volkswagen said it experienced strong sales in the first quarter with 27.5 percent growth in the SUV segment. The company will also improve its electric offering this year and enhance the range and performance of the all-electric 2024 ID.4 SUV.
