New Kia EV6 revealed with larger battery and redesigned front
Kia has revealed its brand new Kia EV6 lineup featuring a GT version with a new dynamic star map lighting system, increased battery capacity, and a range of safety and interaction features. This new revelation comes after three years of the initial EV6, Kia’s first electric vehicle (EV) model based on the E-GMP platform.
Redesigned Front and Rear
The new model has redesigned daytime running lights (DRL) featuring Kia’s new Star Map Lighting system. It connects the hood line to the bottom of the vehicle and enables a wing-shaped bumper design. The headlight bar is more in line with Kia’s new EV lineup. The rear side brings wide star map lighting in combination with the lamp to enhance the feeling.
The GT version also features a different exterior including changed front and rear bumpers for a sportier shape and 20-inch exclusive wheels.
EV6 brings 8 color options – Ivory Matte Silver, Snow White Pearl, Interstellar Gray, Aurora Black Pearl, Glacier, Moonscape Matt Gray, Yacht Blue, and Runway Red. EV6 GT offers 8 colors – Wolf Gray, Yacth Matt Blue, Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black Pearl, and Runway Red.
Refreshed Interior
The new Kia EV6 is revealed with a panoramic curved display for wide interaction. The interior also has an ambient light setup with dynamic settings.
The company has featured a new steering wheel, a new pattern applied to the crash pad to improve sporty aesthetics, and a fingerprint authentication system in the center console. The interior also brings a wireless charging pad with a new structure to prevent the phone from slipping.
The interior has four color options Medium Gray, Green & Light Gray, and Toffee Brown. The GT version offers Black & White.
Extended Battery
The new Kia EV6 model brings an 84kWh 4th generation battery for improved driving range with an upgrade from the 77.4kWh battery used in the previous generation EV. The company has upgraded the charging rate of the vehicle which could now fill up to 80% capacity in 18 minutes using a 350kW super fast charger.
It improves comfort by optimizing the frequency-sensitive shock absorber, motor noise control, and quietness. All this happens while expanding the sound absorption and sound area of the rear motor and improving driving sensibility.
Convenience features
The new model equips SDV-based infotainment specifications for better connectivity. It has a new connected car navigation cockpit for a better travel experience. The car supports over-the-air software updates (OTA) for efficient upgrades.

Price:
Kia EV6 comes at the following prices:
- KRW 55.4 million for Long Range Model
- KRW 55.4 million for Light Model
- KRW 58.24 million for Air Model
- KRW 63.15 million for GT Model
The model will be fully released in June in South Korea and the company could provide customer government subsidies to decline these prices. Meanwhile, it’s yet to be known when it will be unveiled in the U.S.
