Tesla ends Full Self-Driving (FSD) 30-day trial

Tesla users are reporting that the company has ended the Full Self Driving (FSD) trial which was started in late March. Users shared screenshots showing the last trial date.

“Your Trial of Full Self Driving Capability for your Model is ending on April 29, 2024.” says the message. It is showing to those who received the trial on March 29. The message also suggests “Subscribe to keep enjoying full self-driving capability”.

FSD Supervised

On March 29, Tesla started sending emails to eligible car owners to start a 30-day FSD trial free of charge. Once opted, the trial will enable customers to download the latest FSD firmware. The trial supposedly ended for participants together, whether they’ve used it or not.

The over-the-air (OTA) package includes supervised Full Self-Driving that can drive the car almost anywhere with the new FSD 12 series. This version incorporates end-to-end neural nets and the vehicle learns from its vision system.

Early reviews of FSD 12 suggest that the driving system has been improved and it’s now more natural than before. The acceleration and deceleration have been improved than the previous version 11.

Tesla owners can continue or discontinue using FSD with a monthly subscription. However, there’s no option available to purchase the full version. Last month, Tesla also reduced the monthly FSD subscription price to $99 month, half of what the company was charging previously.
