Tesla Ride-Hailing App

Tesla has revealed the user interface (UI) for its upcoming autonomous ride-hailing service which shows new interactive sections for you to order a Robotaxi directly from the app.

Tesla is preparing to unveil its first Robotaxi in August and aiming to tap a new market for future growth possibilities. During the first quarter earnings call, Tesla confirmed that there will be some new information about the roadmap of its ride-hailing services later this year.

The company wants to expand services across millions of autonomous vehicles. Ahead of these, the foundation stone has been laid out by revealing the interactive part of the ride-hailing process with early access to what the app may look like.

Order

The first screen shows the Summon button, which has hold-to-order functionality. The app may check the availability of the nearest Robotaxi based on your current location and show you an estimated time of arrival.

Confirmation and Cancel

The order confirmation page will show you a detailed UI with pickup confirmation. It includes a visualized map of the car and its waypoints to reach the pickup.

It will show your car’s temperature and max passenger capacity. You can also change the car’s temperature before the vehicle arrives at your pickup location.

At the end of the screen, you can see the destination name and if you no longer require a Tesla Robotaxi, there’s a large cancel button with one tap functionality.
