xAI Grok 3.5 beta to launch next week
xAI founder and CEO, Elon Musk, said that a new Grok version – 3.5 will be available by next week as an early beta for Supergrok subscribers. The company has been preparing this new version after the release of Grok with added improvements.
“It is the first AI that can, for example, accurately answer technical questions about rocket engines and electrochemistry. Grok is reasoning from first principles and coming up with answers that simply don’t exist on the internet” Musk wrote on X while revealing about Grok 3.5.
Earlier this year, xAI released Grok 3 beta for X users with new improvements over Grok 2. This version was trained on the AI company’s Colossus supercluster with 10 times computing capabilities over the previous generation model.
With its new computing, Grok has better reasoning, mathematics, coding and knowledge and instructing-following tasks. Grok 3 models were trained using reinforcement learning (RL) to refine its chain-of-thought process and enable advanced reasoning for data efficiency.
RL also enables Grok 3 to refine its problem-solving capability, error correction via backtracking, simplify steps and utilize pre-training knowledge. This version of Grok focused on response speed improvement for users to provide a fast and efficient user experience.

That’s not all.
The model has improved two features – Think and Research. This model cannot only reply to your question but help you to get more accurate and researched answers.
All you need to do is to select Think or Research and Grok will give you a final answer after multiple layers of thinking and verification on any given topic.
The recent addition of code execution, document creations, reports analysis and game generation has provided a unique way for users to interact with this LLM to get more creative in their prompts or productive tasks.
Grok 3.5 is likely to leap forward into more of these advancements, but we’ll have to wait for next week to find out more about xAI’s plan for this new generation model.
