Tesla resumed FSD Transfer for Model 3, Y, S, X and Cybertruck

Tesla Full Self-Driving (FSD) Transfer

Tesla has announced that Full Self Driving (FSD) transfer is now resumed in the US and other North American countries for Model 3, S, X and Y as well as Cybertruck (excluding Foundation Series).

This transfer window is opened for a limited time, but Tesla has not shared a last date for now. However, Customers taking a new Tesla vehicle delivery starting April 24, 2025, will be qualifying for FSD transfer from their current vehicle to a new one.

When you opt for transfer FSD, the current vehicle will only remain with Autopilot features. In case, you want to add the FSD supervised feature on both vehicles, you can buy a separate FSD (Supervised) subscription for the new vehicle without using this transfer program.

To use this offer, you need to have a new Tesla delivered on or after April 24, 2025, before the last date. You need to be the legal owner and registrant of the current vehicle with FSD purchased outright until Tesla can remove the FSD from the vehicle, which may take up to 48 hours after new vehicle delivery. Your current vehicle and the new vehicle must be registered on the same Tesla account.

Other than Foundation Series Cybertruck, customers cannot transfer FSD from Model Y Launch Series or a vehicle under an active lease. Used vehicles, business and commercial orders are also not eligible for this offer.

To mention, you can only transfer FSD once from the existing vehicle to the new vehicle, and such transfers cannot be reversed once completed.

Tesla FSD transfer is also available for customers who want to trade in their vehicle, and the trade-in vehicle will be valued as such and FSD will be moved from the traded vehicle to a new model.
