xAI launches Grok AI Vision to explain anything around you

xAI has officially launched Grok Vision among other new features for its generative AI chatbot users on mobile platform, bringing new capabilities for a better experience.

Grok vision is available for iOS users and enables you to understand the world around you via the mobile’s camera. All you need to do is to point out the phone toward a subject or a scene and ask Grok about it.

You can ask about any content within the preview range on the screen. For example, what’s on the left side with blue color, Grok’s model will look for the thing with this color and share an audio reply.

Grok Vision is part of the voice mode, and you can use it via the camera button on the bottom bar. Once opened, the screen will show you a camera feed, and you can start talking to Grok vision. The app also gives you an option to switch between rear and front cameras.

The multilingual feature allows you to chat with Grok in different languages in voice mode. This helps you get more personalized conversations with Grok’s voice mode personalities.

Furthermore, the real-time search is making its way to users. Initially, the voice mode personalities didn’t have access to real-time information, but now, you can chat and ask anything Grok about anything that’s on the internet.

Personalities with real-time information will be shown with a power/lighting icon beneath their icons in the mobile app.

Other than Grok Vision capabilities, xAI offers Android users with multilingual audio and real-time search via SuperGrok package.

This major update let you set up custom personalities and resume conversations at anytime with Grok. This app is available on both the App Store and Play Store for iOS and Android users, respectively, but features may vary.
