Google is offering free Gemini Advanced for college students through 2026

Google has officially announced that college students can now claim free access to Gemini Advanced subscription for free to prepare for exams and research for studies.
Gemini advanced comes with the added benefits of the latest model 2.5 Pro, which enables more complex tasks like coding, logical reasoning, and creative collaboration.
The advanced plan also includes 1 million token context windows to analyze, explore and understand large documents of up to 1,500 pages. Students can proofread essays and suggest any improvements, as well as improving the text tone.
The advanced version also turns text description into videos using Veo 2. Students can take advantage of Deep Research to generate detailed reports on any topic and subject. Gemini advanced has the capability to export your study material into Google Docs without copy and pasting.
Additionally, Gemini Advanced has 2 TB of Google One storage, which distributes through Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos. The plan also includes NotebookLM Plus to study and research with increased audio overviews, notebooks and sources for each notebook.
Who can claim this offer
Students in the US or 18 years or older can apply for this offer through June 30, 2025, and eligible students will be accepted to receive free Gemini advanced through June 30, 2026, for upto 15 months.
To apply, you’ll need a valid .edu email address for student verification during Gemini sign up. If the student wants to continue the access for the second year, Google will re-verify your student status before the next school year status.
