Camouflaged Tesla Model Y spotted in India

Tesla is preparing for an official entry in India, and its Model Y EV is now spotted testing in public for the first time, completely camouflaged. An X user from India spotted this vehicle on the Mumbai-Pune expressway, in Maharashtra state of the country.
Two video clips posted on the social media site confirm that the camouflaged vehicle is the new Model Y. The cross-car reflective rear light is visible in the daylight and appeared with 20-inch wheels. Moreover, a side shot also confirmed a front lightbar.

This model has recently debuted in the global market and comes with many new changes over the previous version.
The model is wrapped around in a camouflage and has an Indian state registration plate, which confirms that this is a test model and the company will soon unveil this vehicle for customers.
Tesla has recently started hiring in India and the company is picking up talent that could provide services for different roles. However, it’s for setting up a business rather than a production line.

It’s expected that Tesla will import vehicles from either the US or Berlin to sell them in India, but the company hasn’t said anything about this at this time.
Indian media also reported that Tesla has secured a showroom space in New Delhi’s Aerocity and Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). These spaces span around 5,000 square feet and chosen as prime locations to show the vehicles.
It was also reported that Tesla has started the homologation process for Model 3 and Model in India, which marks a crucial process to start regulatory approval for India’s safety and emission standards.
