Tesla makes a big change in referral program

The Tesla referral program has been a matter of enthusiasm for existing owners and new buyers due to extra savings and rewards, but a new change might be a setback for these enthusiasts.
According to the information, Tesla will no longer offer credits for new customers, instead, it will offer 3 months of full self-driving supervised. On the other hand, the referrer will receive $250 on each referral. Meanwhile, if you are a Tesla solar buyer, a referral link can get you $400 off on a new purchase.
Prior to this new change, Tesla used to give away up to $1,000 for new buyers and upto $500 for referrers. These credits can be used toward a Supercharging, Tesla’s online shop or software upgrade services.

To earn buyer benefits, you must purchase a Tesla using a referral link through a family member, friend or from anyone else. Similarly, you can refer a link via the Tesla mobile app in the profile section to earn referrer credits.
What’s unchanged is the loyalty discounts, which are still available at the previous prices of upto $1,000 on a new Tesla purchase.
Loyalty credits are available for those who currently own a Tesla product and allow you to purchase another qualifying product with the same account. The new Tesla referral program change is now live for all US users.
