Anti-Tesla: This cannot be a ‘protest’
Yesterday, anti-Tesla campaigns were organized in numerous parts of the world, but the US has been the forefront of people gathering in different states calling to “Burn a Tesla”, do you really think that protest should call for such violence?
On March 29, 2025, a coordinated protest campaign was called against Elon Musk’s Tesla targeting showrooms, service centers and dealerships around the US.
It’s expected that more than 500 locations, including half in the US alone, were chosen to chant anti-Musk and anti-DOGE slogans. Over 1,000 people gathered in Berkeley, California in front of a Tesla dealership, blocking Fourth Street. These so-called protests also met with violence. In northwestern Germany, seven Tesla vehicles were torched on March 29.
That’s not it, these people used a strong symbolism such as showing Nazi signs and banners with slogans “Burn a Tesla, Save Democracy” seen outside the Manhattan Tesla Showroom in NYC.

In Detroit, a clash between Tesla takedown people and count-protesters allegedly brokeout.
Musk fell into the center of these protests since the President Trump’s inaugural ceremony, when he made a gesture, which was later misrepresented as a Nazi salute.
He also joined DOGE, Department of Government Efficiency, to cut federal funding and workforce to save taxpayer money. However, that wasn’t met well with the people who were already fuming over Musk’s participation in Trump’s election campaign.
In January alone, several attacks were carried on Tesla dealerships and users. Unknown people are harassing Tesla owners and keying their cars in the public parking areas. Showrooms and dealership vehicles are being targeted with arson attacks.
The Trump Administration, including attorney General Pamela Bondi has called the anti-Tesla activities as domestic terrorism and launched an investigation. The Tesla CEO also reacted to this ongoing violence against the company and urged vandals to “stop acting psycho”.
Final thoughts
Tesla has been a top performer in the American electric vehicle (EV) for a decade. The company innovates green cars that top the American manufacturing standards and fully assembled in the US, providing jobs to thousands of American citizens.
If some people think they are anti-Musk or ant-Tesla, why not boycott the company or its leader peacefully but that doesn’t seem to be happening here, therefore, calling for violence in open, cannot be labeled as protest.
