Tesla is aiming for 10 millionth vehicle in 2026

Tesla is rapidly increasing its production scale, and it is aiming for a 10 millionth vehicle production in 2026, said CEO, Elon Musk during the first-ever public all-hands meeting streamed live on X.

Tesla produces its vehicles at the Fremont factory, Giga Texas, Giga Berlin and Giga Shanghai, employing thousands of workers for manufacturing and assembly.

Last year, Tesla produced more than 1.7 million vehicles, among these, more than 1.6 units belongs to Model 3 and Model Y. On the other hand, it delivered around 1.8 million vehicles and over 95% of the deliveries contributed by Model 3 and Y as well.

In October last year, Tesla announced a major milestone by producing the 7 millionth vehicle at its Fremont factory.

Model 3 and Model Y have led the path of success for the EV maker, and they continue to improve the sales streak. However, Tesla plans to continue the sales momentum in the face of growing challenges from Chinese competitors with cheap alternatives.

Earlier this year, the company has introduced a refreshed Model Y. The car is well received in China, and the EV maker is actively increasing the production to meet up with the initial orders. Its full-blown sale is yet to start and production including lower trims in North America as well as Performance model is also pending.

Since last year, Tesla has been teasing plans to bring affordable models into the market, which is expected to take down the price below Model 3 and Y. These will be mass-produced to serve improve sales worldwide, but none of the information has been shared about a release date.

Tesla CEO, previously announced to double the US production in the next year, which will also ramp up the vehicle output and help to achieve 10 millionth vehicle by next year.
