A week ago, Tesla released the new Model Y in North America under the Launch Series, which sells alongside the existing versions. This limited edition marks initial production and is available in an all-wheel-drive long-range version.

This US variant is priced at $59,990 and $84,990 in Canada. US customers can claim a $7,500 Federal Tax Credit to reduce the final price.

Upgrades

The refreshed Model Y has a facelift with a lightbar. The frunk is sleeker and provides a modern look to this best-selling family EV.

It has optimized 20-inch tires to support a slight range increase. The rear has a cross-car lamp including a reflective body panel with a custom-built design.

The cabin has received a major revamp with soft-touch textiles, heated and ventilated seats, and a new touch screen for the second row to entertain the passengers.

Similar to the upgraded Model 3, the company has installed new ambient lighting to provide a personalized driving experience.

This EV has 76 cubic feet of storage and a hands-free trunk that unlocks automatically as you approach the vehicle. To improve safety and on-road visibility, Tesla has installed a new front-facing camera.

This new Model Y is available for order on the official Tesla website and stores across North America and the deliveries are estimated to begin in March.
