Tesla Model Y Juniper with Induction wheels spotted in California

Tesla is spotted testing the Model Y Juniper electric vehicle in California, it was mostly covered to hide the new design upgrades but the sides reveal induction wheels.

Last week, Tesla released a new Model Y in Asia including China with a front redesign that stands out over the existing Model Y. Some of the significant changes include a slim lightbar that stretches to both ends. The headlights go below the light bar. Model Y has a sleek frunk slope, which creates an aggressive look.

The rear side of this EV has an eye-catching in-depth taillight with Tesla branding, which lights up when the brakes are pressed.

Video clips surfaced on social media site X showing the new Model Y testing on California roads. Though the car is covered, you can see these characteristics peaking out while the wheels remain completely visible.

It was using 20-inch induction wheels, which are currently offered with Long Range Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) and All Wheel Drive.

However, customers will have to pay $2,000 extra to get these larger wheels or go with the default 19-inch Gemini wheels. Furthermore, the Performance version is packed with 21-inch Uberturbine wheels.

On the other hand, Tesla is offering 19-inch crossflow wheels and 20-inch Helix 2.0 wheels with the new Model Y for its Asian customers. In this case, the Performance variant is yet to make a debut.

For now, the company has not announced a launch date for this new Model Y in the US but the pace of testing suggests that it will soon make its way to the customers.
