Starship WDR Test

SpaceX has completed the WDR rehearsal for Starship Flight 7 before it launches on January 13 from the Boca Chica Starbase Launch facility. The rocket maker has posted new visuals of the integrated flight on social media site X, showing the test in action.

Wet Dress Rehearsal (WDR) is a simulation of the launch day environment including two stages with fully loaded propellant. However, the launch team doesn’t ignite the engines, instead, it aims to find leaks and issues before proceeding with the launch day.

Among the group of tests, WDR verifies ground systems and procedures to ensure all equipment works in sync during the test. It also tests hold and safety protocols to ensure a safe launch. After this successful WDR test, Starship Flight 7 is now ready to fly.
