NACS or North American Charging Standard enables non-Tesla car owners to charge at a Supercharger at a superfast charging speed. The EV maker is the largest charging infrastructure owner across North America and it has opened access to Superchargers to reduce range anxiety and improve the charging experience among EV owners.

With these adapters, existing Hyundai owners will be able to charge at more than 20,000 Tesla Supercharger stations.

A few months ago, Hyundai unveiled the IONIQ 5 XRT 2025 with a native NACS port, which doesn’t require an adapter to engage with a Supercharger.

The company has announced that details, instructions, and terms and conditions related to the process for owners to claim their complimentary adapter as well as adapter pricing will be revealed in 2025.
