Apple could partner with Sony to bring a game controller for its expensive Vision Pro AR VR headset for expansive gameplay. Bloomberg reported that Apple and Sony are under discussion for a partnership on this product that could bring interactive gaming to the gadget.

The report confirmed that the iPhone maker is seeking new partnerships to support third-party hand controllers for the VisionOS operating system. The conversation between the two parties mentioned PlayStation VR2 controllers.

Furthermore, Apple is asking third-party developers to bring their games on the Vision Pro and expand its games library.

The launch date for this support has not been announced but the report speculates for this month. However, there’s a chance of a postponement if both don’t find a common ground.

Vision Pro became a sensation when it was launched earlier in the year, but the company is finding it hard to sell more devices due to its hefty price tag.

The company is continuously evaluating its sales strategy for this headset and not planning a major hike in sales any time soon.

A report also projects that Apple could delay the Vision Pro by at least 2027. In the meantime, it would focus on a cheaper version of this device with a minimalistic experience.
