Tesla CEO, Elon Musk has said that the upcoming Full Self Driving (FSD) v13 will be 500% better than v12.5. The company has been preparing this new version for a long time with major improvements in driving interventions.

Tesla chief’s comment came at a post from a Cybertruck passenger @ScarantinoX while experiencing the recently released FSD v12.5.5.3.

“As a passenger for the past 900 miles, I can confidently say that @BLKMDL3’s post about FSD v12.5.5.3 is spot on. FSD has handled just about everything imaginable. A car on the shoulder? It moves over. A slow semi-truck? It smoothly overtakes and exits the passing lane. Police blockades on the freeway? It takes the exit without hesitation.” the user wrote on X.

In the reply section, Musk mentioned “And V13 is trending to be ~500% better”.

FSD is still in supervised mode, so you have to watch the vehicle’s movement throughout the journey. With version 12, Tesla has made many new improvements to this self-driving system including smart summon, auto park, better driver monitoring system, and more.

V13 is expected to take the self-driving experience to the next level with 5 to 10 times improvements in miles between interventions. That’s the key focus for FSD to lead toward robotaxi and autonomous driving services.
