Tesla has released a new software update for the Cybertruck electric pick-up truck with the 2024.39.5 version and it includes Full Self Driving (FSD) v12.5.5.3 with new system optimizations.

The EV maker started delivering Cybertruck in December last year and sold thousands of units to customers. However, the vehicle shipped without FSD, which shipped a month. Cybertruck gained the first FSD version with a 2024.32.20 software update.

The latest FSD update includes two new capabilities for users:

  • Sunglasses support vision-based attention monitoring, which has been a mass request from customers.
  • It includes End-to-End on the Highway, enabling a better user experience for City and highway driving.

The changelog also mentioned future improvements:

  • Earlier and more natural lane change decisions
  • Improved performance in parking lots
  • Improved performance at intersections and stops
  • Introduction of Speed Profile

This rollout is limited to only Cybertruck and an incremental upgrade might soon appear to other Tesla models.
