You can now report Tesla charging issues via mobile app
Tesla is rolling out a new feature that will allow you to report issues at charging locations at any time. This new option will be available with the latest Tesla app version.
The screenshot shared by the company has revealed the user interface of the new change to the users.
Once selected, the app will open a charger detail card with the “Report an issue” option. This will lead to a new screen showing the charger name, and issue reporting date.
It has pre-defined issues, or you can manually input some others. Some of these are
- Site not accessible
- Insufficient lighting
- Navigation or routing issues
- Charging stalls blocked
- Damaged post or connector
- Site cleanliness
- Overgrown landscaping
Tesla conducts an auto diagnosis of its charging network to find performance-related problems. However, user feedback can improve access, cleanliness, or hardware damage. This can help the company to apply fast fixes to the affected supercharger.
Max de Zeher, Tesla Supercharger chief said the charging issues report feature is available with app version 4.39.0 and above, which was released last week.
“Issues like snow that isn’t properly plowed, cracked post skins, vandalism, trash overflowing, etc can now easily be reported, helping us fix it faster,” wrote Max.
