iOS 18.2 Beta 4 rolling out with new optimizations for mail, safari, camera control and more

Apple has released iOS 18.2 Beta 4 for developers and it comes with a couple of new optimizations for systems and apps including mail, safari, writing tools, and more.

This app now has optimized mail icons with round corners, while the previous build had a completely square shape.

The setting also has a graphical change, which shows the badge count icon as well as the description on top of the screen.

Search

This update has added a “Search Engine” option to the Search setting. This setting is also available in the Safari browser.

Camera control

The camera control setting on the iPhone 16 lineup is showing the Accessibility shortcut, which wasn’t there before.

ChatGPT

This new build has made a couple of new changes in the ChatGPT labels compared to Beta 3. You will also see some new optimizations to the writing tools menu.

iOS 18.2 beta 4 comes with a couple of other new improvements, which you can experience by exploring this software.

iOS 18.2

This new update installs the second batch of Apple Intelligence features. These will allow iPhone users to create new images with generative AI and custom emojis.

It also includes Siri with ChatGPT and you can redirect your questions to this OpenAI chatbot. iOS 18.2 is available for developer and public beta and will be released for all iPhones in December.
