SpaceX launches 24 Starlink satellites into orbit on Thursday morning

On Thursday morning, SpaceX launched a new Falcon 9 mission to orbit carrying 24 Starlink satellites to improve connectivity for customers across the globe. This was the second launch within 12 hours of launching 20 Starlink satellites from California.

The latest mission lifted off from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The liftoff was conducted at 8:21 a.m. ET without requiring a backup liftoff opportunity.

The mission was carried out in the morning with clear sun exposure and the livestream showed the launch vehicle’s accent and booster landing in detail.

Speaking of which, this was the 18th flight for the first stage booster, which previously supported mPOWER-C, OneWeb2, Intelsat 30e, Digital Globe 2, Turksat-6A, Eutelsat 36X, Ovzon-3, CRS-26, and 9 Starlink missions.

Following a hot-staging, the first stage returned to a droneship stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
