Apple could launch AI Wall Tablet in Q1 2025
Apple could launch new products under the smart home market segment including a wall-mounted tablet with artificial intelligence (AI) and a couple of interesting features.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported that Apple is working on a new product code-named J490 and it will use Apple Intelligence at the core of its capabilities.
The device will have a new operating system code-named Pebble. Despite an unknown name, the OS will use the device’s sensors to decide a person’s proximity. After confirming the distance, the screen will automatically optimize its features.
If users are several feet away, it might show the temperature, as they move near the screen, the screen will reveal an interface for full manual control.
Furthermore, a new system with this device will detect how many people are nearby. This approach includes sensors placed on walls surrounding a room. However, Apple may sell these as accessories and release them after the device.
For now, Apple doesn’t have any such devices in the market. However, the company is continuously exploring new ideas and trying to turn them into real gadgets to improve sales other than iPhones and some consumer devices.
Earlier today, Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said the Cupertino-based tech giant is working on a smart home camera. This new camera is expected to enter production in 2026.
Due to the sheer market size of such surveillance cameras, Apple could ship more than 10 million units of such devices.
