“The iOS 18.2 operating system update, which includes major improvements to Apple Intelligence […] is likely to arrive on the earlier side of December, I’m told. How early? The week of Dec. 2, barring any unexpected delays.” wrote Gurman.

iOS 18.2:

A week ago, Apple released a iOS 18.2 developer beta and it comes with the second set of AI features under Apple Intelligence.

It is packed with new AI capabilities including ChatGPT integration in Siri voice assistant. This allows users to forward voice queries to the latest GPT model and get the answers in detail within the app interface.

Visual intelligence is also another feature that is part of iOS 18.2 and it will allow you to identify and know more about the input from the camera.

There are three new additions in the generative AI image section including:

  1. Image Playground
  2. Genmoji
  3. Image Wand

The first helps you to create an image out of the description and the ability to mash up the output with different presets. On the other hand, Genmoji helps you create custom emojis right off the bat with a prompt and add to your selection.

Furthermore, Image Wand helps you to create an image for a text content or a story. It make the visual interactions easy to understand for a text or a note.

Last week, the company released iOS 18.1 for public users and it comes with a couple of changes for eligible iPhone users. That includes writing tools and new upgrades for AI. After sending iOS 18.1, the company can now focus on the next phase of Apple Intelligence.
