Xpel launches window tinting films for Tesla Model 3, Y, S, X and Cybertruck

Tesla is offering window tinting films for Model 3, Y, S, X, and Cybertruck through Xpel, an automotive window tinting service.

You can select from three Xpel films including Prime XR+, Prime XR, and Prime CS. These films come with infrared heat rejection, protection from UV rays, and up to 95 percent glare reduction, and are made with dual-layer nano ceramic.

These films come with a lifetime Xpel warranty and a Tesla glass warranty.

How to order

You can go to the Xpel website and select your window film to place an order. After completion, Xpel will refer you to the nearest installation service provider.

Tesla Model 3

1. Prime CS – $475
2. Prime XR – $680
3. Prime XR Plus – $850

Tesla Model Y

1. Prime CS – $320
2. Prime XR – $225
3. Prime XR Plus – $850

Tesla Model S

1. Prime CS – $385
2. Prime XR – $560
3. Prime XR Plus – $700

Tesla Model X

1. Prime CS – $250
2. Prime XR – $325

The above-mentioned prices are for all sides and rear windows in Model 3 and S. The prices for Model Y and X cover only drier and passenger front door windows.

These will change based on other configurations on the Xpel website. These prices also include any shades of window film available from the select installation.

You can notice that the prices for Model and Model X films are higher than Model Y and S. Xpel explains that this is due to extra material and additional time for installation for these models compared to rear windows of the Model Y and S.

Windshield and Installation

This tint is not available through the Tesla program but Xpel dealers can provide windshield film and other services for additional cost.

The installation process will take 1-2 business days and this time could be reduced if the appointment is booked prior to installation.
