Tesla recently started a second round of Full Self Driving (FSD) trial rollout for customers and now, the company is extending these trials by another month.

Earlier this year, the EV maker distributed FSD trials to all eligible car owners across North America. This move aims to enable existing customers to experience self-driving technologies with their Teslas.

The initial rollout enabled 30-day FSD for Model 3, Y, S, and X, which was exhausted after the deadline. Unfortunately, there’s no data available on how many of these trial users have purchased an FSD subscription.

Earlier this week, Tesla sent a new round of 30-day trials for customers. Within a week, the company is already extending this FSD trial to another 30-day. That makes the total trial period 60 days for eligible owners.

It’s currently unknown which Tesla car owners are receiving these trial emails. However, it’s confirmed that existing FSD subscribers are also eligible to get a 30 days extension, which will start by the end of their current subscription.

Full Self-Driving (FSD) is Tesla’s self-driving technology that automatically drives the car on public roads. Its on-board cameras detect cars, objectives, hazards, pedestrians, animals, and traffic signs to act accordingly.

However, the current FSD version is supervised and requires a human driver to monitor self-driving moves.

The company plans to launch an unsupervised version of FSD next year for ride-hailing next year. On the other hand, Tesla will ship FSD 13 somewhere next month and it’ll make its way to FSD customers.
