Tesla adds Cybertruck to referral program
Tesla Cybertruck is now part of the referral program in the US. It means new buyers can get $1,000 off for this electric pickup truck with a referral link.
A month ago, the EV maker launched a revamped refer and earn program in North America. However, the activity is still the same, existing Tesla owner generates a referral link from their profile and share it with a potential buyer.
Then, the buyer needs to use that link to buy a Tesla product in order to get the amount off from the purchase. Here are the discount amounts mentioned in the referral program for buyers:
- Model Y – $500
- Model 3 – $500
- Model X – $1,000
- Model S – $1,000
- Cybertruck -$1,000
The company recently reduced credit on Model 3 and Y from $1,000 to $500 in the US and Tesla users from Canada are reporting that the Model 3 is no longer showing in the refer and earn screen.
Initially, Cybertruck wasn’t a part of the referral program but it has now started taking orders for its less-priced models. Such discounts will allow customers to get $1k off on this EV.
On the other hand, the referrer will continue to get $500 credit for each referral for up to 10 referrals a year. This limit will reset each year on January 1. Unlike referrers, buyer rewards can only be claimed once.
Referrers can use their earned credit on Supercharger sessions, service centers, and online Tesla shop.
