Apple is rolling out iOS 18.2 beta for developers and the first build has an image creation waitlist to test image playground, genmoji, and magic want tools.

We first saw a waitlist with iOS 18.1 for Apple Intelligence. Users were required to join the waitlist in order to access the new AI features preview.

iOS 18.2 also carries this early access waitlist for image creation features. After downloading the latest software update, users need to tap on any of these app icons to see the wailist screen for Image Creation. Here you can click “Request Early Access” and then the system will notify you with a subsequent message.

  • Image Playground allows you to create an image with a description or start with a suggested theme.
  • Genmoji helps you to create new emoji with text words and you can adjust the emoji’s appearance with the same text prompts.
  • Image Wand works with iPad devices and you can circle any sketch on the screen to turn it into a full-scale image in the Notes app.

Notice that these features use generative AI technologies designed and developed by Apple. However, only a few devices can run the new Apple intelligence suit.
