Tesla reportedly working on a Watch app

Tesla has started watch app development for customers to simplify the user experience and provide some key features on the wrist.

The EV maker already offers a mobile app for customers, which allows them to control their EVs from outside. You can access the vehicle to lock and unlock the vehicle, manage climate controls, and check for software updates.

The app can check the current driving range, set the charging limit, and view the charging history within the app. It can help you to plan a trip with a supercharger. The app also enables users to manage payment and track their charging and shop order history.

Tesla has recently pushed a new app version for iOS 18 users with a few new changes. That includes Control Center additions and new offline commands to ease interactions.

Tesla app updates have decompiled this app version and found some interesting name string that references the Watch app. We can link these strings to the under-development watch app but there’s no confirmation available. However, it’s the first time, such a reference has been made inside the code.

In March this year, Tesla CEO, Elon Musk agreed to bring a native Watch app for smartwatches. Unfortunately, there are no specific details available about its features and availability.

One of the major implications for this app could be used as a car key, which will make it more efficient compared to mobile.
