Tesla again sending 30 days FSD trial to existing customers

Tesla again sending 30 days of Full Self Driving (FSD) trial to existing customers, allowing them to experience this supervised self-driving tech for free.

In March this year, Tesla announced the first-ever FSD trial for existing Model 3, Y, S, and X owners. Afterward, millions of Tesla owners accessed this free trial run. The activity aims to provide access to customers unfamiliar with FSD’s capabilities.

It can automatically drive cars on public roads, take turns, detect traffic signals, react to on-road objects, lane assist, and more. However, FSD requires a driver to supervise self-driving maneuvers and be ready to take the wheel in uncertain situations.

New Trials

A second trial is rolling out to customers after the We, Robot event. The company unveiled its new autonomous driving technology with Cybercab and Robovan vehicles.

“At our We, Robot event, we unveiled the future of autonomy. Now, you can experience a part of the future for the next 30 days with a Full Self-Driving (Supervised) trial in your own Tesla.” Says the email.

Customers with this trial can enable FSD (Supervised) via the front screen.

The second trial has enabled more features than the initial run. For example, the company has improved the driver monitoring system with the cabin’s camera and launched the actually smart summon and dumb summon features. These will be available to trial users based on their locations.

For now, it’s not confirmed whether this new phase includes any of the previous trial users.
