Tesla is rumored to start the trial production of new Model Y electric vehicle with new changes somewhere this month.

It’s expected the refreshed Model Y codenamed “Juniper” could start trial production of 15 units per day at the Giga Shanghai factory. This production capacity could increase in the future as the product quality is achieved.

This production phase enables the manufacturer to produce a small number of products to test the production process. It also spots issues and ensures quality standards prior to full-scale production.

The production phase continues as the company refines identified issues and improves the output according to plan.

Last year, Tesla revealed a refreshed Model 3 with new upgrades to the exterior including slimmer headlights and redesigned fascia. The car has improved aerodynamics that optimizes the driving range. The rear side also equips taillight and diffusers.

Moreover, the performance version has major changes in the front with a new spoiler and a complete overhaul similar to the previous build.

After the launch, customers have been expecting these changes to transition to Model Y. Some even speculated that the model could launch by the end of this year.

However, Telsa CEO, Elon Musk has already denied these rumors and reports about this new model.
