SpaceX founder shares an update on Starship’s booster after first catch
Starship Flight 5 has achieved a major milestone with the first booster catch and SpaceX Founder and CEO, Elon Musk has shared an update on the first stage after this big achievement.
The booster is now standing vertically on the launch pad, which has been placed via both arms. This test flight has been made possible with new efforts on the ground and optimizations have been made to the launch tower and integrated flight.
Musk revealed a few outer engine nozzles warped from heating and other minor issues. However, the team has addressed this.
Starship is designed to achieve reflight of its rocket booster within an hour after liftoff. The first stage returns within 5 minutes of the flight time.
Thereafter, the remaining time could be used to reload the propellant and place a ship on the top of the booster. With the new flight schedule, the company
