Apple could rollout Apple Intelligence AI features with an iOS 18.1 software update that could debut by the end of October reveals Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in his latest newsletter.

Apple Intelligence made a debut at the WWDC 24 developer event in June. This suite of generative AI capabilities aims to ease user interactions and provide a better user experience.

Some notable Apple Intelligence features include generative images via the Image Playground app and Genmoji. The new AI suite will help rewrite text content and you can also change the tone.

However, advanced Siri takes the spotlight with its newer intelligence to control many inbuilt apps with voice commands. The iPhone maker has eased the interactions with natural language learning models.

Apple Intelligence was expected to release alongside the iPhone 16 series on September 9 but the company only announced that it will launch in October. The Cupertino-based tech giant has been testing these new AI features for months and its installment is ready to rollout by this month.

Gurman notes that Apple Intelligence will debut on October 28 with iOS 18.1. Notably, the company will only use some AI capabilities instead of all. The rollout will be available for iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, and iPhone 16 series.

The company is taking this time to release a build with the lowest bugs and issues and support AI capabilities fetched from Apple cloud servers.

Unfortunately, Apple is not expected to rollout all Apple Intelligence features until iOS 18.2 or 18.4 to get some major additions.
