Tesla has shared the Q3 2024 Superchargers count and revealed that 2800 stalls have been added through the past quarter. These new superchargers come with a 23 percent year-over-year network growth.

Furthermore, Tesla delivered more than 1.4 TWh of energy to electric vehicles in Q3, a 27 percent year-over-year growth compared to last year.

The EV maker notes that this energy transfer has saved over 150 million gallons of gasoline. With this quantity, tailpipe vehicles could have released more than 3 billion pounds of CO2 emission into the atmosphere.

Earlier this year, Tesla reduced its Supercharger staff by a large number and removed some key officials responsible for important decisions. Based on media reports, some 10 percent of the workforce was slashed with this layoff.

Tesla CEO, Elon Musk reacted to this news by saying that the company is still planning to grow its supercharger network with more stalls but the pace could slow for new locations. However, the company is now focusing on uptime rather than bringing more stalls.

According to the official information, Tesla is the largest DC fast EV charger company in the world and it has more than 50,000+ superchargers.

Users can locate these chargers with the Tesla mobile app or the in-care display. You can set a route to the nearest charger and let the car navigate.

Earlier this year, Tesla opened Supercharger to other EV makers starting with Ford. The company has rolled out a free NACS adapter for F-150 Lighting and Mustang Mach-E users.

It was followed by Rivian and other key automakers that are adopting this charging standard for their existing and new vehicles released in 2025.

The recent Supercharger team layoff has created a bit of confusion in the EV industry but it should now be settled with the new Q3 Supercharger installation count.
