People receiving this invitation have shared screenshots confirming that these are limited to early recipients. However, it indirectly suggests that the production of the lower-priced Cybertruck is about to begin.

After beginning deliveries late last year, the company has started sending invitations for the foundation series Cybertruck. This model costs more than $100,000 but is available only via invitations.

The new non-foundation series Cybertruck starts at $79,990 with 325 miles of EPA range. It has all the announced features including all-wheel drive and 0-60 mph acceleration in 4.1 seconds. In addition, the tri-motor Cybertruck is available to order at $99,990.

The invitations are rolling out for valued reservation holders, who will receive priority delivery while configuring a non-foundation series Cybertruck.

Based on shared screenshots, the $79,990 model includes:

  • 20″ core wheels with 35″ tires
  • Tactical grey decor
  • 1-year Premium Connectivity Trial
  • 30-Day Full Self-driving (Supervised) trial

However, customers will have to pay a $1,995 destination fee, $350 order fee, and $100 original reservation credit leading to a $82,135 purchase price.

The purchase price could also be eased with a Federal tax credit, which led to $72,490. However, there’s no information about its current eligibility status.
