Tesla releases FSD 12.5.4.1 with Smart Summon improvements
Tesla has released Full Self Driving (FSD) version 12.5.4.1 with new improvements and optimizations for Actually Smart Summon and Dumb Summon.
The company is pushing the new FSD with software update version 2024.32.10 for Model 3, and Y and expanding to others.
Smart Summon allows you to automatically drive the vehicle to your locations without supervision from the car. This feature is useful in all scenarios including when your hands are full of things and you can get your vehicle out of the parking lot on its own.
This vision assists smart summon and enables a live view of the car through your mobile to monitor the car’s surroundings. You can stop the summon at any time with on-screen controls. Similarly, the Dumb Summon enables you to move the car forward and backward with a mobile app.
New Improvements:
Tesla FSD 12.5.4.1 comes with improved public/high-speed road aborts. With this, the car will automatically stop before entering a public and high-speed road in summon mode.
The car will also abort smart summon if the car’s cameras are blocked. It has reduced false positive collision mitigation aborts. It has refined dumb summon and added custom/Fart competition sounds.
These are pretty interesting upgrades and improvements for smart summon as the feature is widely adopted by FSD users.
Upcoming Features
Tesla has also announced HomeLink and MyQ garage integration to summon capability. Also, you will be able to use summon features without continuously pressing on the mobile app control.
These will help the user park the car inside a garage much more smoothly and interconnected.
FSD 12.5.5
Yesterday, Tesla debuted the 12.5.5 FSD version for Cyebrtruck, the version is exclusive to this electric pickup truck but it could be coming to all Tesla models by this month. However, we’ll first have to wait for the internal test to complete.
