Actually Smart Summon for legacy Tesla Model S and X will launch in Q4
Tesla has confirmed that Actually Smart Summon and Dumb Summon will launch for legacy Model S and X in the fourth quarter, bringing the capability to these premium models.
The company released Smart Summon and Dumb Summon for customers running the latest platforms covering Model 3 and Model Y.
A few years ago, this feature was removed from new vehicles after the company moved to a camera-based vision system. Since then, Tesla has been involved in the development of this capability and initially rolled out for AI 4 platform.
A few days later, the company started expanding this reach to HW3 models with FSD 12.5.3. A week ago, Tesla boosted the 12.5.4 rollout for v12.5, v12.4.3, and 12.3.6 as well as legacy models. However, it doesn’t come with a smart summon feature.
Ashok Elluswamy from the Tesla AI team has elaborated on this situation and shared details that Actually Smart Summon will launch for Legacy Model S and X in the fourth quarter.
