Apple Intelligence: Features, Release Date and Eligible Devices

Apple Intelligence is coming and it will bring numerous AI features to iPhones, iPads, and Mac devices. Here you can check its key capabilities, release date, and devices that will install the new Apple Intelligence.

Let’s start with writing tools

These AI tools will help you to improve the text whether it’s one line, paragraph, or page. You can proofread the selected text, and rewrite or change the tone. You can add a summary, key points, tablet, or list with on-screen options.

Priority Notifications and Interruptions

The iPhone’s neural engine will decide the priority of app notifications. These will appear at the top of the stack to show you what’s important to catch first.

These notifications are automatically summarized, so you can check their content and remove uninteresting ones.

The Reduce Interruptions feature can observe the notification’s content and show the ones that require immediate attention.

Priority Mail

The system will show you time-sensitive messages at the top of your Mail app’s inbox. Its priority section will appear in the Primary tab with emails such as invitations, reminders, meetings, and others.

The new Smart Reply can quickly draft a response based on the email, which is relevant to the email’s content.

Mail and Call Summary

Apple Intelligence can create email summaries to easily understand long emails without reading the entire content.

iOS 18 has a new call recording feature and you can read the full transcript of your conversation after the call ends.

Image Playground – Create a new image based on a text description, suggest a new concept, or take an image from the Photo library.
Genmoji – This feature will let you mix and create any emoji that suits the conversation. You can also select an image from the Photos app to create a Genmoji that looks like the person in the photograph.
Image Wand – It can create an image from a rough sketch on iPad devices.
Clean Up – This will remove distractions or objects from your photographs using AI.

Siri

Apple Intelligence promotes advanced Siri voice assistant. Its UI and AI technology have been upgraded for a natural human-to-machine conversation.

Siri equips awareness of your personal context and has deeper access to app features. In addition for voice, you can type to Siri for discrete conversations. Furthermore, you will have access to ChatGPT right into the app to ask questions that require descriptive answers.

Release Date

Apple Intelligence will rollout with a software update in October. However, the first update will only have a handful of AI features and will gradually be released for more devices.

In December, the company will add localized English for Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.

Next year, Apple Intelligence will come to China, France, Japan and Spain.
