Tesla Cybertruck is now eligible for $10k CleanBC rebate
Tesla has officially announced that the Tesla Cybertruck is now eligible for a $10,000 CleanBC rebate for businesses and organizations. This rebate also includes a federal capital cost allowance.
CleanBC Go electric passenger vehicle rebate program in British Columbia offers incentives for individuals and businesses to purchase or lease eligible EVs.
Among these, individuals are eligible for $4,000 in incentives on an income basis, which can be applied during the time of purchase. Passenger cars and SUVs under this incentive must have an MSRP below $50,000.
Businesses and organizations can claim up to $3,000 rebates for cars and SUVs with a $50,000 MSRP. However, these are required to lease the vehicle for 36 months to receive the full rebate. Lease rebates can be received on a pro-rated basis for 12 or 24-month leases.
Meanwhile, eligible commercial pick-up trucks with bed lengths of at least 72 inches can get up to $10,000 incentives. Cybertruck’s truck bed falls right under this requirement, hence, organizations and businesses can use this rebate to ease up their lease.
Speaking of which, the truck needs to be leased for 12 to 24 months to receive this incentive. Tesla detailed that Cybertruck is also awaiting rebate approval from Quebec Ecocamionnage and Federal iMHZEV.
Note: Prices are mentioned in Canadian dollars.
