BYD sold 148,470 electric vehicles (EVs) through August 2024

BYD has released sales results for August 2024 including 148,470 units of electric vehicles (EVs). The company has sold a total of 373,083 units, which is an increase of 36 percent year on year.

This figure includes a total of 370,854 units of new energy vehicles and the total sales volume this year reached 2,318,798 units with a 30.02% year-on-year increase.

Among these, the company sold 148,470 pure electric passenger cars, and this category’s cumulative numbers reached 1,004,623 units. This is an 11.97% year-on-year increase.

Plug-in hybrid on the other hand has raised to 222,384 units with commutative sales reaching 1,314,175 units an increase of 48.30 percent. The company sold about 31,451 units in the global market.
